Today is the first official day of fall, and we can’t wait for the cool weather! If you’re on the hunt for some fun Southlake fall activities to do with the whole family, here are some of our top picks for upcoming Southlake events.
Monarch Butterfly Festival
When: Saturday, September 23
Where: Bob Jones Nature Center
What Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
While this may be a bit of a short notice, it isn’t too late to enjoy the Monarch Butterfly Festival at Bob Jones Nature Center! This will be the third year for this festival, and while all the butterflies that are set to be released are already reserved, that doesn’t mean you can’t show up and enjoy all the festivities!
Oktoberfest Southlake
When: Friday, October 6 – Sunday, October 8
Where: Southlake Town Square
What Time: Friday: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Saturday: 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM & Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Get ready to don your lederhosen and have a great time at Oktoberfest Southlake! Admission is completely free, and there will be plenty of tasty German food and beer. There will also be a wiener dog costume contest and race!
Haunted Family Campout
When: Saturday, October 7 – Sunday, October 8
Where: Bob Jones Park
What Time: Saturday 4:00 PM – Sunday 9:00 AM
If Oktoberfest isn’t really the type of Southlake fall activities you’re looking for and you want even more of the great outdoors, then the Haunted Family Campout is perfect! With plenty of fun and spooky activities, the cost is $10 per person and campers must provide their own tent, sleeping bags and other camping gear.
Monster Mash
When: Sunday, October 29
Where: The Marq Southlake
What Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
If you don’t already have plans for Halloween, Monster Mash is sure to be the spookiest of all Southlake events! This event will be full of all your favorite Halloween-y things to do in Southlake. Don’t worry if the weather is bad, the event will just be moved inside to keep all the fun going!
